BioPAS: the Biochemistry Postdoctoral Association of Scholars

BioPAS at the University of Wisconsin promotes research, professional development, and interactions among peers and professional scientists. As young scientists, we face the challenges of research, funding, career development and a highly competitive job market. Together we can help each other prepare for the future in a supportive environment of peers during our monthly “Research in Progress” seminars. We also regularly host “Careers in Progress” seminars, in which professionals join us to discuss their career experiences as well as advice and insight on job opportunities. Furthermore, academic scientists and professors share insight into careers, grants, interviews, and other important topics.

About the Department
The Department of Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin – Madison offers an outstanding environment for postdoctoral research, with over 37 faculty members studying exciting, diverse topics using cutting-edge approaches in a congenial and interactive atmosphere. Madison is a safe and affordable environment to live and work, with a full slate of cultural, social, and outdoor activities.
