Description:

This course is designed to expose interested students and faculty to current research in various aspects of cell biology, including (but not limited to) protein and membrane trafficking, protein folding and degradation, regulated protein secretion, cytoskeletal assemblies, and cell cycle events. The course consists of student-led presentations and discussions of papers from the classical and current literature, which are chosen by student presenters in consultation with one of the instructors.

This Fall the class will focus on Membrane Fusion, a discussion of the proteins and lipids that are involved in cellular membrane targeting and fusion.
