Emeritus Faculty
The Department of Biochemistry is proud of its emeritus faculty, many of whom remain active in their research interests and can be found daily in their offices and labs.
Seven are fellows of the National Academy of Sciences, one is a recipient of the National Medal of Science, and two are recipients of the Wolf Prize.
Robert Burris and William Reznikoff served as chairs of the Department of Biochemistry. John Suttie is a former chair of the Department of Nutrition, while Paul Kaesberg and Roland Rueckert are former chairs of the Molecular Virology Institute.
