Alison graduated with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Marquette University in 2003. She is currently a 2nd year Biochemistry student and is particularly interested in broadening her background by learning a variety of genetic and biochemical techniques.
Alison is interested in the study of ribosome-associated chaperones and is working on determining the specific roles of these unique chaperone types. Using biochemical methods, she is currently investigating the overlapping roles of Hsp70s and J proteins in yeast.
