Lingyin Li received her
B.S. in Polymer Science and Materials from University of Science and Technology
of China in 2003. As an undergraduate, Lingyin worked in the laboratory of Professor
Yi Xie, where she studied the preparation and fabrication of nano-scaled materials
and their novel chemical and physical properties ( J. Colloid Interf. Sci.,
2003 , 261 , 366-371 ; Adv. Mater. ,
2003 , 15 , 1914-1918; J. Cryst. Growth, 2003
, 154 , 164-168; J. Mater. Chem. , 2003
, 13 , 893-896; J. Solid State Chem. , 2004
, 177 , 202-206). Lingyin joined the Kiessling Lab as a graduate
student in 2004.
Currently, Lingyin is utilizing
highly organized self assembly monolayers (SAMs) to display peptides and small
molecules in a multivalent manner to study the crucial factors that control
human embryonic stem cell fates, e.g., attachment, proliferation and controlled
differentiation.
