John May graduated from Duke University
in 2003 with a B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry. His research
interests include enzymology and understanding metabolic pathways. As a graduate
student in the Department of Biochemistry, he is studying various aspects of
the pathway for the biosynthetic incorporation of galactofuranose residues into
the cell wall of mycobacteria and other organisms. John is a NSF Graduate Research
Fellow and a trainee on the NIH Molecular Biosciences Training Grant.
