Raines Lab - GFP arginine grafting
Cells are impenetrable to most proteins. The Raines group has developed "arginine grafting" as a means to endow otherwise impermeant proteins with the ability to enter mammalian cells. They used GFP to validate their approach, and the image depicts the effect of an arginine graft on the uptake of GFP.
