By Plane: The Dane County Airport, on Madison's northeast side, is served by most major airlines (see link). Taxi-cabs are readily available to campus and downtown for about $20.
By Car: Interstates 90 and 94 converge on Madison's east side. The drive is about 150 miles from Chicago, 90 miles from Milwaukee, 300 miles from Minneapolis and 350 miles from St. Louis. US highways 12 and 18 combine to form a beltline around Madison's south and west sides. From the south Beltline, campus is a few miles north on Park Street; from the west, take University Avenue to the east. Parking on campus is highly restricted.
By Bus: The Van Galder bus line, 1-800-747-0994, makes 10-12 trips daily between campus and Chicago's O'Hare Airport. The bus stop is at the Memorial Union. One way fare is about $25 with travel time about 3 hours.
